Classroom Poems: Segments 2 and 3

taken from the Shakespearean Sonnets:

II.
raining, raining, raining
introduce my shame
the expenses saved
the spirit of others
denies lust’s shame.
pursuit of mad trust
no sooner laid in reason
quests for Proof, and proved, bliss
proposes joy before dreams.
yet none knows heaven
bound for hell when bound
to society’s well.

III.
will to go and will to live-
live to save his will to give.
my will-power against thine-
battle words of wit again,
will you snap before you sin?
internal locusts burrow in
breaking Will against the bend.
